1500-Hour Barber Program
A comprehensive barber training program designed to prepare students for Illinois barber licensure through classroom instruction, hands-on training, and real-world client experience.
500-Hour Cosmetology to Barber Crossover Program
Designed for licensed cosmetologists seeking barber licensure. This program focuses on clipper cutting, fading, straight razor shaving, men's grooming services, and other barber-specific skills.
Continuing Education & Professional Development
We offer continuing education courses, workshops, and professional development opportunities throughout the year. Topics may include shaving, neck shaving, men's grooming, barbering techniques, business development, and other advanced industry skills for licensed professionals.
Instructor Programs
500-Hour Barber Teacher Program
For licensed barbers pursuing barber instructor licensure. Students develop the teaching, leadership, and classroom management skills necessary to train the next generation of barbering professionals.
50-Hour Cosmetology Instructor to Barber Instructor Program
Designed for licensed cosmetology instructors seeking barber instructor licensure. This program provides barber-specific education in theory, practical skills, state regulations, and instructional techniques, helping experienced instructors successfully transition into barber education.
500 & 1,000-Hour Instructor Programs
Comprehensive instructor training programs for licensed beauty professionals pursuing instructor licensure. Coursework includes teaching methods, lesson planning, student evaluation, and classroom management.

Barber Apprenticeship Program
The Armed Barber College is currently in the process of developing the Barber Apprenticeship Program as an alternative pathway to barber licensure. This program will combine paid, hands-on training in a licensed barbershop with the classroom instruction, educational support, and licensing exam preparation required for success in the profession.
